Assembly for people with disabilities

The assembly is a place for you to find out about services and activities the council and its partners provide for people with disabilities. It's also an opportunity for you to help us improve and shape services for the future.


Next meeting

  • Date: Monday 11 November
  • Venue: Middlesex Suite at the Civic Centre.

Every four months on a Monday from 11:30am to 1:30pm (registration from 10:45am)


Light refreshments will be provided. Feel free to bring a packed lunch.

We would be grateful if you could confirm your attendance to ensure we can cater for everybody's needs.

There are various accessible community transport services available. Some are listed below:


Carers are welcome to attend as we are unable to offer personal care at this assembly.


Special needs logo

Members' disabilities (which include physical, sensory, learning and mental health) are catered for through:

  • the use of disabled access Civic Centre map
  • the use of hired wheelchairs
  • Loop system
  • BSL and other signers
  • appropriate language specialists

Documents are presented in an 'Easy read format'.

Posture and Mobility Services

Opcare provides Posture and Mobility Services including the provision of wheelchairs, specialist wheelchair seating and pressure relieving cushions, along with associated services such as the repair and maintenance of wheelchairs. Telephone 0208 427 2881.
