About us

Manor Farm Site is Hillingdon's flagship heritage site in Ruislip, dating back to medieval times.

Manor Farm Grounds

The grounds are a mixture of formal and informal green space, including an orchard, a bowling green, a herb garden, the moat around the ancient motte, a duck pond and other amenity grass areas.

Visitor Centre

The visitor centre is located inside the beautiful Tudor Manor Farm House and provides an excellent introduction to Manor Farm's rich history, documented since medieval times. Two permanent display rooms with artefacts, interactive displays, video, and written interpretation. Housed in a high-status grade-II listed Tudor building, with many original features remaining. Includes one of the oldest examples (c 1700) of domestic wallpaper still to remain on its original wall in England.

Free admission including temporary exhibitions.

Learn about our rich history in our two permanent display rooms, with temporary exhibitions in the Provost Parlour. A collection of 18th and 19th century farming tools is housed next door in the Pram Shed. Supported by a 2007 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
