Travellers site

Hillingdon Council own and manage the land of the Colne Park Travellers site, in West Drayton.

Two caravans

The site can be accessed from Mill Road by turning into Cricketfield Road near the Anglers Retreat. It is managed by staff based in the Tenancy Management team.

The pitches

The site comprises of 20 pitches each with individual amenities blocks that include a kitchen, bathing facilities and a toilet.

Each pitch is for the following:

  • individual static caravan
  • a mobile caravan
  • a car or van

No appliances are included with the rental of any plot.


A licence fee is charged covering individual pitch rent, the water rates but not power costs. Individual licensees are responsible for ensuring they pay their own power bills. It is possible to claim housing benefit to assist with the payment of the licence fee. There is a nominal weekly charge for common area electricity.

Obtaining a pitch

In general the site operates at full capacity with few casual vacancies. Anyone interested in obtaining a pitch should check the current position with the travellers site officer who maintains a waiting list of those seeking to move on to the site.
