Moving house

Tell us if you are moving

If you are moving into or out of the London Borough of Hillingdon you will need to let us know as soon as possible so that we can issue you with a correct bill.

Please have the following details to hand:

  • the completion date(s) of any property bought or sold
  • the date you are moving into or moving out of the property, if this differs from the above
  • the name of the person who has bought your previous property
  • if you are the owner the name and address of your Solicitor
  • if you are the tenant your Landlord's or Managing Agent details
  • if you are the tenant your tenancy start and end dates
  • the full name(s) of anyone living in the property aged 18 or over
  • your Council Tax reference number (if moving out)

If you are moving from one Hillingdon address to another

We will close your old account and send you a bill for anything you still owe.  If you have overpaid, we will transfer the credit to your new account.  We will send you a new bill for your new address with a new account number.  You must use your new account number for any payments you make for your new address.

If you pay your Council Tax by Direct Debit you will need to set up your direct debit again on your new account as we are unable to transfer your bank details without your authorisation.

Login to your Council Tax account.
