Music School and Ensembles

At John Locke Academy in Uxbridge on Saturday, Wednesday and Thursday we have a vibrant music school with a friendly informal atmosphere, which runs for ten sessions each term.

Saturday music centre

Approximately 350 young musicians from all parts of the borough come along on Saturday mornings and weekday evenings in term time. They play in bands, orchestras and chamber ensembles, learn music theory and sing in choirs. They also participate in regular concerts and events.

The Music School takes in students beginning on orchestral instruments (Thursday nights). They can then stay with us, progressing through our Saturday ensembles until they are very advanced.

See forthcoming Saturday Music School dates and the the Saturday timetable. If your child is already attending Music School, you can also see the latest news for parents.

You can enrol your child, below, in an ensemble (Saturdays or weeknights), or if you would like your child to join one of our choirs (no invitation necessary).
