National offer day: Thursday 16 April 2020.

If you applied online, you will have received an email advising you to log back into your eadmissions account to view and accept your offer. You will not receive an offer letter in the post; all relevant information will be available on the eadmissions website.

Outcome of application

*Please note if you have changed your email address and do not receive an email you can still log into your account on the evening of offer day.

If you submitted a paper application, your offer letter was posted first class on 16 April with full instructions on how to accept your school offer. If you choose to accept your offer online, please follow the link below:

Accept your place

For data protection reasons, the School Placement and Admissions team cannot advise parents/guardians of the outcome of their application over the telephone.

Note: You must accept the offer by 30 April 2020 to secure the school place.

Declining your offer

If you applied online, you can decline the offer online. Please ensure you state the reason for the decline. If it is because you are unhappy with the offer you have been given, you are strongly advised to accept the offer because it will not prejudice your higher preferences. Your child will be placed on the waiting list for all schools you named as a higher preference.

Waiting lists

For Community schools, please contact the Local Authority. All Academy, Foundation, Free and Voluntary Aided (faith) schools hold their own waiting lists.

Please be aware that the waiting lists will not be available any sooner than 4 weeks from offer day.

Currently schools are partially open for children of key workers and the most vulnerable only. Therefore, even after the 4 weeks have past they may not be able to advise waiting list positions. Once the schools have fully reopened, parents can contact schools directly to find out their positions.

For Hillingdon non-faith and non-banded schools, the School Placement and Admissions team will try and assist you with waiting list positions. Please email the request to the team at: admissions@hillingdon.gov.uk. Please be mindful that email is not a secure method of communication and sending emails with personal information is at your own risk. For confidentiality, you can refer to the school preference number rather than the named school. You do not need to provide your child's name, as your email address is linked to their application.

If the school is outside the borough of Hillingdon, you should contact the borough in which the school is situated to enquire whether the waiting list is provided by the school or the Local Authority. All contact details are published in our brochure online.

Appeals

You have the right of appeal under the School Standards & Framework Act 1998 against the refusal of a place at any of the schools for which you have applied. For Community schools, please contact the Local Authority. If you wish to appeal for an Academy, Foundation, Free or Voluntary Aided (faith) school you must contact the school directly to obtain the appeal documentation.

Currently, schools may not be available via the telephone as schools are partially open for children of key workers and the most vulnerable only. Therefore, we would advise that you visit the school's website, and where possible, email the school your request. Alternatively, you could submit via email or post your appeal to the schools and ask that they consider your statement as your appeal. Please ask that the school acknowledges your request.

Alternatively, if the school is outside Hillingdon, please contact the borough in which the school is situated over the next few days to obtain the procedure and the date by which an appeal must be received by them.

We are currently awaiting a response from the Government as to whether there will be a change to the dates appeal paperwork must be lodged by, to ensure appeals can be heard before the start of term in September. We will update Hillingdon's admission appeals web page when further information is received from the Department of Education on the matter.
