Walks volunteer needed

If you are looking to become a volunteer in the local area and enjoy walking, why not consider becoming a volunteer walk leader for our Walk Hillingdon programme?

Walk Hillingdon is the council's free led walks programme, helping residents across the borough to get healthier and happier.
The main quality we need from our walk leaders is a clear demonstrated enthusiasm for walking.

Our walks are around an hour and a half, so including travelling, leading a single walk close to home typically takes around 2.5 to 3 hours.  As a walk leader, you will receive training and continued support to help you carry out your role.

Volunteer walk leader, Mike Yates, says "I don't see walk leading as primarily a responsibility - it's more like carrying out an activity that you enjoy with an added purpose: meeting new people and seeing the daily changes in flora and fauna as well as keeping healthy."
