Access is strictly restricted to Hillingdon residents with their HillingdonFirst card OR an acceptable proof of residence in the borough.

Residents without a HillingdonFirst card wishing to use the site for household or domestic waste and recycling should go to the weighbridge office.

As of Monday 1 July we will be introducing a new permit system. Any resident who comes to site in a vehicle bearing a company/commercial logo will be entitled to six free tips for the rolling year (as long as they provide evidence that they live in the borough i.e driving licence/utility bill). If they reach the limit of six within that year they will then be expected to pay full trade prices. The permit relates to household items only.

Building/DIY waste

People bringing larger quantities of building/DIY waste will be asked to pay the full trade waste rate for disposing of these materials. The current full trade waste rate is £197 per tonne, with the minimum charge of £19.70 for up to 100kg. Larger quantities can be defined as anything over 2/3 small bags of building waste per day.

If building waste/construction waste is mixed in with other waste, the entire load will be charged for.

The following items are considered building/DIY waste:

  • Hardcore, bricks, rubble
  • Plasterboard and other gypsum products
  • Paving slabs
  • Soil, mud, turf

It is a legal requirement under Section 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (as amended) and The Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011 for all carriers of controlled waste (apart from domestic waste being transported by a member of the public) to hold a Waste Carriers Licence, and to ensure that all waste is accompanied by a written description of the waste, that provides an accurate classification of what is being transported (Waste Transfer Note).

Failure to provide a valid licence or a correctly completed Waste Transfer Note may result in refusal to tip your waste.
